How do you Dudley? I am in my Dudleys 3 out of 4 seasons: to work 5 days a week (with my cardigan readily available during the summer), to the park, soccer practice and playdates, and out with friends for dinner and drinks. I once ran a Spartan race at Fenway Park in my Navy Park Slope! My all-time favorite moment in my Dudley (Terry Boatneck Ice Blue) was meeting Rep. Ayanna Pressley as I waited to present to the Boston Employment Commission at Boston City Hall. I wear Dudleys so often that my peers have called me Dudley (and I will answer to it)!
Favorite DS colors: Red, Black, Island Coral
What’s your desert island Dudley? My Heather Grey Park Slope in Terry Fleece.
What size do you wear in DS? In the Park Slope I wear an XS for the perfect put-together look with dress pants or jeans. In the Cobble Hill I wear a S, and I do need to have this style hemmed up to the pocket line (for a petite person, a too-long article of clothing can look frumpy). The Cobble Hill is perfect over skinny jeans and patterned leggings. In the Brighton Boatneck, I wear both XS and S. I love the Brighton Boatneck fitted in XS when I am at work with dress pants, pencil skirts or jeans, and in S for spring and summer nights when I want to throw it over a t-shirt and shorts or a dress.
How do you think this particular style runs? The Park Slope runs large for me, so I get one size down, and the hem line is perfect at my hip. For extra room in Park Slope I have purchased S during the winter seasons for a little extra length layered over heat gear during ski season. For me, the Cobble Hill is true to size.
What’s your favorite thing to pair DS styles with? Mostly skinny jeans. I love wearing my Brighton Boatneck over a collared shirt.
Any other DS fit tips? For someone with my body type, the Park Slope and Brighton Boatneck in XS offer a fitted and clean look; the S lends extra room over a tank top, t-shirts or a button down. In the Cobble Hill a S, hemmed 1-1.5” (at pocket line), provides the perfect rear coverage.
